Forget-Me-NotBauernmalerei

Tradition in every brushstroke.

Ageless Bauernmalerei, hand-painted on venerable treasures from the past. Every piece is an antique that survived a century or more before it reached the bench — and every one carries its own history.

The folk art · from the 1600s

An old art, kept alive by hand

Bauernmalerei is an old folk-art. During the 16-hundreds
country-folk began beautifying their sparse furniture and
utensils with charming motives from field and meadow. Their
winsome-naïve style of painting, today, is known as
Bauernmalerei. Much of the astoundingly artful work has
endured over the centuries to be admired in museums and
castles. Nostalgic fondness for the pleasing, ancient artistry,
compels the modern Bauernmaler. Our appealing
Bauernmalerei-adorned antiques
will grace any décor.

“A thing of beauty is a joy forever.”

As over centuries past, this winsome folk-art is
admired and loved by collectors the world over. From its place
of honor in the home, it is worthy to be handed down to future
generations!

Open by appointment

Come out and see the work in person

Bauernmalerei does not photograph the way it looks in the hand — the gold catches the light and the strokes stand up off the wood. The studio sits out on the eastern Colorado plains, and visits are by appointment so there is time to talk through each piece.
